Software Maintenance

Maintenance is one of the activities for improving and optimizing equipment, as well as correcting defects. The existing types of maintenance are listed below:
Corrective: this involves correcting a problem that software has, whether it is program software or operating system software, in the event of incorrect, deficient, or incomplete operation.
Preventive: preventive software maintenance, which means correcting a problem before it occurs. Perfective: these are actions carried out to improve the internal quality of systems in any of their aspects.
Adaptive: these are modifications that affect the environments in which the system operates, for example, changes in hardware configuration, basic software, database managers, communications, etc.
